Peter Dart is a global marketing professional with 40+ years’ experience, having worked on many of the world’s most well-known brands in both the Corporate and Not-for-profit sectors. He has worked for clients and agencies at Board level and led all aspects of brand strategy and innovation, brand positioning and identity, and a wide range of communication using both traditional and digital media channels. He has worked in every significant market in the world. He has a passion for amazing work. Most recently, from 2020 - 2022, he was working at Upfield/Arivia where he was the Chief Growth Officer. He has now established a new marketing venture called Dartahead.
Business Career:
1975 – 1988: Brand Manager, then Marketing Director at Unilever where he worked in the UK, the Philippines, and Germany, where he was a member of the Board for 5 years
1988 – 2001: Entrepreneur / Founder and Chairman of Added Value Marketing Consultancy (now part of WPP / Kantar). Grew to over 300 people. Acquired by Tempus plc in 1999 where he became a member of the Board. Tempus was acquired by WPP in 2001
2001 – 2020: Global Client Lead at WPP where he led the Global WPP Unilever Team, and also advised many other clients
2020 – 2022: Arivia (Greece) Board Member. Chief Growth Officer. Advisor to the Upfield CEO and Arivia CEO
2023 ongoing: Founder & CEO, Dartahead

Education:
Between 1972 – 1975, Peter studied at Oxford University where he was for 3 years the Organ Scholar of Hertford College. He gained an MA in Physics. He is a Licentiate of the Royal Academy of Music (LRAM), an Associate of Trinity College of Music (ATCL), and a Fellow of the RSA (FRSA). Previously, Peter studied at Teignmouth Grammar School in Devon (1965 – 1972).
Personal:
Wine: a passion for wine meant that Peter and his wife owned and developed Stanlake Park Wine Estate in Berkshire for 8 years. Stanlake has a large Vineyard, Winery, and Cellar Shop, selling many different types of award-winning wine.
Music: in addition to the many music organisations he helps, Peter is the Director of Music at St Mary's Parish Church in Wargrave, Berkshire, where he lives. Always on the look-out for singers and instrumentalists to sing or play in the Music Group.
Family life: Peter is very involved in the family, particularly enjoying holidays and travel
